Inimitable Glenn Gould

I love this piece by Beethoven and Glenn Gould playing it in his inimitable style, lip synching and all, is just rather lovely.

I guess by now most people know that I am a fan of the classical repertoire - if you have any recommendations for inclusion on this page let me know and I'll find something for you.

Bach's Ave Maria

This is Bobby McFerrin singing Bach's Ave Maria - unbelievably hard to do.  I have nothing but respect for him.

Working with composers

I have been fortunate to work with a number of gifted classical composers from around Europe.  They work with my poems as text for songs or choral compositions. Last year I was fortunate to see some of my work performed at the Chagall Museum in France by Opera de Nice and the chamber orchestra of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra.

The work was composed by Robert Weachter (pictured far right) who is the lead violinist for Opera De Nice and the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra in France - it was titled 'Hidden Mothers'.  Next to Robert in the picture is composer Morten Hansen, who is sat next to Austrian pianist Emma Schmidt.

I also wrote the words for an album in France with the members of the group Jamiroquai. Very interesting
and extremely rewarding.  I learned so much.
